I want to send out a happy and very hearty welcome to Sara Larson, who comes to Belfire Press as our new Public Relations/Marketing manager!

Sara brings several years experience in the small press: as a writer, administrative member of the IHW as well as chairperson for the annual Mo*Con convention. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband, two dogs and two cats, and spends her days making jewelry and her nights creating monsters. Her dark fiction has appeared in several anthologies.

Note from the publisher:
As owner of Belfire Press and the imprints Needfire Poetry and The New Bedlam Project, I urge our authors to take caution and consider all options if they’ve been brokering a deal with Dorchester/Leisure. Consider Brian Keene, Wrath James White, and others’ experiences before signing on that line.
I also respectfully request that you join the boycott of Dorchester Publishing.

Congratulations to Voni Ryan and Bob Freeman, with their novels Absentminded and Descendant (respectively) placing in the top ten of their categories in the P&E Reader Poll!

The award graphics have been posted to our awards page.
Congratulations to the rest of us as well, while we didn’t place in the top ten of our categories – we were on the lists. I think we did not bad for our first year!

That being said, every year I look forward to seeing the new P&E awards, as I’ve found several new web and print ‘zines I’ve begun reading, new authors, new books, new artwork to admire, new folks to follow… I was sadly disappointed when the website was inaccessible to cast my votes.
