Someone… or something… is killing off the students of Converse High School.
“Hell is empty, and the devils are here…”
Federal Agents Selina Wolfe and Martin Crowe are called in to investigate a series of bizarre deaths in a small rural community. What first seems to be a misadventure involving black magic and satanic ritual soon takes on even more deleterious overtones, as the agents become embroiled in a plot by a sinister cabal intent on unleashing Hell on Earth.
Wolfe and Crowe have been down this road before. As elite agents in the Federal Bureau of Investigations’ Paranormal Operations Division, they are tasked with confronting supernatural forces on the front lines of an ongoing battle between good and evil. Their mission is to investigate paranormal activity, eliminate any possible threats they might encounter, and, perhaps most importantly, produce a viable cover story to keep these unnatural occurrences a secret.

News from Kim Paffenroth
by JodiLee on Jul.21, 2010, under News, Titles
Good evening everyone!
I received exciting news in the Belfire inbox this evening, and while it doesn’t really have anything to do with Belfire per se, it does involve spectacular news for one of our upcoming authors, Kim Paffenroth (author of Orpheus & The Pearl, part one of our Dual Novella releasing in September).
The new Simon and Schuster edition of Dying to Live is now up for pre-order with a 33% discount. If you’ve given away your old copy or need a new one for gift giving, this is your chance:
The success of this edition will determine whether Simon and Schuster decides to buy the sequel.
Basically, this is all selfishness on my part, too. I have copies of the originals from Permuted Press, and I can’t wait to have the third Dying to Live as well. If Simon and Schuster buys the second, they’ll probably by the third – and I’ll have complete sets from both publishers. So… umm.. indulge an editor in her crazy book collecting, and go buy Dying to Live!
